The Marina

Yesterday I spent a little time snoozing at the Everett Marina. It was unintentional but the best snoozes are.

 I was aboard the walk on ferry to Hat Island to check out some homes but the ferry was broken down. 

I went onto the sunny deck and made a pillow from my sweater and it felt good to encounter an old friend, Sol, 

shining down on me, I slipped quickly into a warm sleep. 

The marine air and pleasant sounds of the quiet marina 

Worked their magic and I'm thinking this should become a daily activity. If only the ferry would break down more often! 

I got a boat ride as it were, to the island and later at sunset the ferry had been repaired and we ferried back from Hat to The Everett Marina where I started from just after noon.
